Being fake for the sake of politeness is not a Christian virtue, or even a moral good. If you were around me, you might hear me say plenty of stuff about people around us or people we work with. I will say the exact same thing to their face word for word, because I don’t want to be faking off. There are bounds of social acceptability you want to stay within; but for the most part, if you would say it behind someone’s back, you should be comfortable saying it to someone’s face.
