“…according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” Ephesians 3:11-12

Knowing your identity in the Lord allows you to go into a new situation with the confidence of knowing who you are. That allows you the freedom to be open to giving things a shot without fear of losing yourself in something that doesn’t align with your core values. The better you know your identity, the more you can stretch yourself.
