You can focus your spiritual life in one of two directions:
1) trying to do the least sinning- where sin is your whole focus, all you think about, all you pray about.
2) Trying to do the most righteousness- focusing on serving others and pursuing the good things God has for you.
Jesus consistently rebuked people in that first group for missing the point.
