“Blessed are you when people hate you,
when they exclude you and insult you
and reject your name as evil,
because of the Son of Man.”
-Luke 6:22

It is fine if some people don’t like you, but notice the last line of this verse. You are blessed if people reject you because of your relationship with Jesus. You are not blessed if people reject you because you are rude or judgmental. Doing things just to provoke people has the same pitfalls as chasing universal acceptance.
